  • Peace of mind – 24 x 7 telephone and email support is available from our Internet specialists (calls charged at local rates from standard land lines)
  • Domain Name - A domain name is supplied with the service and includes mail and web forwarding. These domain names are subject to availability
  • Unrestricted TCP/IP traffic – 24 hours a day
  • Provision is subject to a site survey by BT
  • Provides an 'always-on' connection (apart from downtime for maintenance or any outages)

Demon Premier Broadband Managed service option provides additional reassurance where the connection is a business critical service.  It comprises:

Technical info




Speed
The service operates downstream at up to 2Mbps and upstream at up to 250Kbps. Always-on unmetered access * and unrestricted 24 hour TCP/IP traffic. Allows you to send and receive emails 24 hours a day

Contention
The service has two contention options: uncontended (i.e. 1:1); or 5:1

Installation
The service is installed by engineers who provide all the necessary equipment including a router – Cisco 1841 and micros filters. Broadband requires a standard analogue phone line provided by BT

Email
SMTP mail is the standard for all customers (with NAT customers router configuration allows bi-directional SMTP traffic). Customers with requirements for POP3 mail can purchase one of our web hosting services

Domain Names
A domain name is supplied with the service and includes mail and web forwarding. These domain names are subject to suitable availability

IP address assignment
Demon Premier Broadband offers further flexibility through a choice of NAT configuration with one static IP address, or non-NAT configuration with different sized static IP blocks
